Objectives and activities of BSTPS


Purpose of BSTPS

A. Policy and representation

To maintain effective coordination and representation of the organization with the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA), all Industry Skills Councils (ISC) and relevant government and non-government organizations. To provide feedback on the policies, training frameworks, standards and assessment systems related to skill development and to participate in the decision-making process.

B. Training standards and integration

To improve the quality of training of member STPs, update the curriculum and provide support in implementing demand-based and up-to-date training. To build an integrated and strong network through the exchange of knowledge, skills, experience and technology among STP institutions nationwide.

C. Entrepreneurial rights and protection

To protect the business, institutional and moral rights of STP entrepreneurs and take a rational stand against any injustice, discrimination or inconsistent decisions. To formulate recommendations and take effective initiatives to the government for necessary incentives, financing, tax benefits and policy support in the interest of entrepreneurs.

D. Skills and Employment

To produce skilled and quality trainees and support them in local and overseas employment. To increase the involvement and capacity of STP entrepreneurs in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Apprenticeship and Certification activities.

E. Member and institutional platform development

To consolidate the STP network by forming coordination committees at the national, divisional and, if necessary, district levels. To enhance institutional capacity by organizing training, workshops, seminars, research and consultancy services for members.

Future plans of BSTPS

To protect and develop the interests, rights and professional dignity of STP entrepreneurs. To play a role in establishing skills, quality control and good governance in the training and employment sector. To ensure active participation in the formulation and implementation of government policies, strategies and programs related to skill development. To create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs to develop technology, financing, innovation and skilled human resources.

About Us

Bangladesh Skill Training Providers Society (BSTPS) is a non-political, non-profit and service organization, which is working to develop skilled human resources by bringing together various skill training providers and training institutions of the country. Skill development is an important issue in the current world. BSTPS works in coordination with various training institutions, technical training centers and skill development organizations to make the youth of the country employment-oriented and self-reliant.
